Do I need to know how to code?
No. You work on your own laptop. What you need: comfort in a browser, a real use case from the business, Claude Desktop installed before you walk in, and Grok signed in on the same machine.
Why Grok if Claude is the system?
Grok writes Claude's standing orders in a short pass at 9:00 — instructions, a master MD, today's goals, the first prompt. Then Grok closes. Claude Desktop is the system you leave with and the one you show someone at 3:15. If Grok is not set up by the door, you use a paper template and stay on Claude.
How is this different from the student residency?
Same room. Same method. Different crew. The residency is five Tuesday evenings for students. Build Day is one Tuesday, 9:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., for owners, employees, and chamber members. You leave the same day with a working system on your use case.
Where exactly is it? Parking?
The room is in the LaCava Center at Bentley University, 175 Forest Street, Waltham, MA 02452. Parking on site. Not affiliated with Bentley or any university.
What do I need to bring?
A laptop with Claude Desktop installed before 9:00 a.m., a paid Claude plan ($30 per month), and Grok signed in on that same laptop. The day you are admitted, you get a ten-minute setup note: folder name, exact Project name, and the brief to save in Grok. Do not start the packet at home.
What happens the day I am admitted?
You get one email. That is when you meet Grok — not at 9:05 on Tuesday. Six items: Grok signed in, Claude Desktop on a paid plan, a shop folder, the same Project name in both apps, the architect brief saved in Grok instructions, and two real files if you have them. Do not write the packet at home. Reply with one line when the six are done.
How many seats?
Eight seats. Same eight people from 9:00 to 4:00. No drop-ins. One seat is one laptop.
When do I pay?
Only if admitted. Applying is free, and nothing is billed until you are accepted. Tuition is $679 for the day. Claude is $30/month on top — that subscription is how the system keeps running after you leave the building.
Can I send someone from my team?
Yes — one seat is one person at one laptop. If two people from the same shop should both build, apply twice.
Do the agents touch my real accounts?
